Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji (Hokusai's ukiyo-e arts)
Hokusai Katsushika represents ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) artists during the 18th and 19th centuries in Japan. Fugaku Sanju Rokkei (Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji) represents his many great works. Here, you may view famous works of his, such as Gaifu Kaisei (South Wind, Clear Dawn) -- known as Aka Fuji or Red Mount Fuji at Dawn -- and Kanagawa-oki Nami-ura (The Hollow of the Deep-Sea Wave off Kanagawa) -- which is well known even overseas as "Big Wave."
